So, after some two and a half years and 701 posts, we’re calling time on our Blogger platform. Having become frustrated with the anodyne templates and the unreliable comment facility, we’ve decided to set up a slightly more bespoke shop at http://thetwounfortunates.com/ ^[1], courtesy of some unbelievably generous philanthropy from web designer Michael Kinlan ^[2]. Launching on Tuesday 3rd January, we hope that the new site will help make the transition back to work a tad more bearable for our readers (not to mention ourselves).

In the meantime, we’re taking a step back from posting over Christmas and New Year in order to make final preparations. To celebrate the move we have a number of posts in the pipeline, which include an appraisal of the Football League’s loan system, a player-by-player analysis of Brighton in terms of their likely ability to step-up to the top-flight and the next entry in our Conversations series. We hope that you’ll take a look at some of these offerings and join the debate when they go up.
