Sean O’Driscoll on board at the City Ground: What all Nottingham Forest fans need to read

The news that Sean O’Driscoll is joining Steve Cotterill’s coaching staff at Nottingham Forest has come out of the blue. Something had to change, it seemed. It’s just that this wasn’t envisaged by many. We covered Forest’s woes in a fair bit of detail early this morning so there’s not much more to be said on that front.

Instead, let’s focus on O’Driscoll. There are a couple of things that Forest fans may be interested in.

One is an appraisal of O’Driscoll from Doncaster and Bournemouth fans which featured on this site back in August 2010.

The second, which is essential reading, featured on the Goalfood website in June 2009 – it’s an exhaustive interview with O’Driscoll, at the end of which any supporter would welcome him to their club. Maybe Forest have just made a cracking decision for the first time in a long time…

The Seventy Two
The Seventy Two published an outstanding series of articles about the Football League between 2010-12 and was the brainchild of Leicester City fan, David Bevan. As well as collaborating with The Two Unfortunates on the Football League Blog Network and a mammoth 2011-12 season preview, the site featured a host of leading bloggers and David was rewarded with a nomination in the 2011 Football Supporters’ Federation awards. Latterly, he was joined as co-editor by Joe Harrison and TTU is happy to present this archive of the site’s output.
