Twitter and Football: a Sociological Inquiry
Twitter and Football: a Sociological Inquiry
On a lazy Saturday, getting away from the computer can come as a relief after a week of blogging (not to mention the day job) but the publishing of a small masterpiece of an article has forced me to hot foot it to my local internet cafe. For our close associates at the marvellous Black & White & Read All Over have excelled themselves with this perceptive piece on Twitter and football. It would be very rude indeed of you not to read it – our own twitter highlight thus far saw our Monday profilee Mark Wright of Shrewsbury retweet his own written portrait – Julia Kristeva would have had a field day.
The piece was written by our blogger Ben who splits his time between The Two Unfortunates, Black & White & Read All Over and a couple of first rate music sites. So, while we are on the topic of moonlighting, I’ll also draw your attention to a guest appearance I have made on the ever excellent Viva Rovers, providing my answers to some questions set by Glen Wilson in advance of today’s Doncaster v Reading clash.

January 16, 2011Cheers for the plug. Quite reassuring to discover that most of the points I was going to make tallied with the academics' opinion!
